LAVONIA CHAMBER WELCOMES SPRING FESTIVAL APPLICATIONS

Applications are being accepted for the Lavonia Spring Festival which will be held the first Saturday of May from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the downtown business district of East and West Main streets.

The deadline for on-time applications for food vendors is April 25. On-time applications for all other vendors are due April 27. A $15 late fee will apply to all applications received after April 27 and space will be assigned as available.

A single 10x10-foot space without electricity is $50; with electricity is $60. A double 10x20-foot space without electricity is $80 and with electricity is $100.

LAVONIA SPRING FESTIVAL OFFERS VARIETY OF CRAFTS, FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT

The many vendors who will participate in the Lavonia Spring Festival assure that there will be a wide variety of merchandise, delicious food, and entertainment. Arts and crafts include woodcraft and bead craft, small decorative furniture, jewelry, and handsewn aprons, little-girl dresses and totes. Beekeepers will sell local honey and beeswax products. Jams, jellies, baked goods, and soaps are other locally-made products which will be available.

Civic organizations include the Lavonia Garden Club’s plant sale and the Friends of the Library book sale. Power of Hope will offer information about resources for cancer patients and Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy will offer registration for its free book program. Children will enjoy the lineup of amusements including little choochoo rides and everyone will enjoy favorite festival foods such as Italian ice, shaved ice, barbecue, ribs and nachos.

The Festival takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the blocks of East and West Main streets in downtown Lavonia. Plenty of free parking is available nearby. For information call the Lavonia Chamber of Commerce at 706-356- 8202 or email lavoniacofc@gmail.com.

be held the last Saturday of September in the downtown business district. The deadline for on-time

applications for food vendors is to be determined. On-time applications for all other vendors are due to be determined.
